An experienced and highly respected financial anchor, Patricia Szarvas, has hosted a variety of shows on the CNBC Europe network for the past 11 years. She is one of the few people in that field to also have been a member of the London Stock Exchange and to have successfully passed the Securities and Futures Authority examination. Being multi lingual, she files market reports in Italian (Class CNBC, Milan) and German (N24, Berlin), as well as her regular presenting in English for both the European and US networks (CNBC US and MSNBC).
Critics describe her work as genuinely professional, displaying cultural sensitivity to interviewees and issues. She manages to bring her personality and warmth to a variety of different shows on the channel, both hard news and more relaxed magazine formats. As well as being a key anchor at CNBC Europe, Patricia has carried out numerous field assignments: covering the national elections, reporting from the World Economic Forum and interviewing a host of the worlds top notch political and business players.
She has launched the ‘Frankfurt Closing Bell’ program, which then became the ‘European Closing Bell’ hosted from London. She hosted ‘Power Lunch’ and co-anchored ‘Morning Exchange’ before moving to Frankfurt. She started her career as a stockbroker and private banker working for some of the most prominent Investment banks. In 1998 she made the transition to the world of media, joining RAI (Rome, Italy).
Besides her television activities she is a most requested facilitator for conferences around Europe. Among others she facilitated parts of the World Investment Conference in 2010 in La Baule, France.
