Sophie was born in France, but raised in Ivory Coast and in England, hence receiving a bilingual education whilst developing a taste for multicultural environments. Her ability for languages led her to complete a BA in European Studies at Royal Holloway, University of London, as well as numerous trips abroad.
In 2000, following a three-months track in South America, she decided to become a teacher, and enrolled for a PGCE in Modern Languages at Homerton College, Cambridge. But her true passion caught-up with her only two years into her teaching career: ACTING!
Sophie moved back to Paris, her native town, to pursue her formation as an actress, and found her Grail within Le Cours Florent with the Acting in English group, alongside whom she studied and performed for four years. Such a diverse and dynamic environment multiplied her connections abroad. She went on to study and work with Scott Williams in London and New-York, Doug Mac Hugh in New-York, Luis Jaime-Cortez in Paris...
She has already performed in many theatre productions, both in French and in English, particularly from the modern repertoire, such as 'Saintes Familles' by Michel Azama or 'True Love' by Charles Mee. Her favourite field of work remaining the film industry, she has recently appeared in 'Citizen Hero' by Christophe Perie and Christophe Willem's latest video-clip, 'Berlin'. Currently, she is furthering her knowledge of the Meisner Technique as well as developing her breadth of acting tools, by incorporating Neuro Linguistic Programming and Emotional freedom technique into her work.
Sophie has enjoyed public speaking throughout her life. Her spontaneous nature is a key component of her personality, and she has always been a favourite to stand at the fore in all kind of events: whether reading at funerary masses or during school assemblies, power-point presenting at weddings or for her faculty, entertaining guests at corporate diners or on university open days... Furthermore, her appetite for connecting people means she greatly likes working as an interpreter, whether for a single client or for larger audiences.
