Pierre Péan
Renowned investigative journalist
Pierre Péan is one of the most well-known and recognised investigators in France for the quality of his investigations. He was born in Sablé-sur-Sarthe on 5 March 1938 to a father who was a hairdresser. After secondary education in Catholic schooling, he obtained a law degree in the economics section in Angers, and a DES in Paris. From 1962 to 1964, he was a cabinet attaché to the Minister of Finance of Gabon, then head of department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Gabon.
