Doctor of State in Political Science and supervising researchers in Information and Communication, François-Bernard Huyghe is a research director at one of the main French think tanks, Iris (Institut des Relations Internationales et Stratégiques).
He is also an independent consultant, having previously been a television director and worked at UNESCO (Culture and Communication, Heritage).
He teaches notably at Polytechnique and Paris IV Sorbonne.
François-Bernard Huyghe has published books on topics ranging from contemporary ideas (La softidéologie) or the secular encounters of cultures (La route de la soie) to issues of technology, strategy, conflict, and influence (Understanding the Strategic Power of Media, Masters of Make-Believe, and Terrorism, Violence, and Propaganda).
He is also very active online with his website, with the Geostrategic Observatory of Information (Iris) online, and with his cyber course on the virtual campus of the University of Limoges.
