Your guests expect some kind of scholar. ‘It will probably be boring again,’ they think. Not too interested, they take their seats. But then…
…someone comes on stage who does not meet their expectations. Not at all. And as this person begins to speak, they become even more confused. What is this?
It is the fakespeech of Otto Wijnen. His fakespeech gives your guests something to talk about. Particularly suitable as a striking opening or unforgettable closing act of your event. Guaranteed ‘laughing, rolling, roaring’ (in the words of his clients).
And what happens when people laugh (together)?
It creates a bond
They are open to your message
It gives a significant shot of energy
This energy continues throughout the rest of the day. Or during the closing drinks. And often we hear from his clients: ‘Months later, people are still talking about it!’ Be prepared to receive a lot of compliments as an organizer about your event… Otto personalizes his fakespeech to your wishes. Your theme. But generally, you can expect the following:
The fakespeech begins with the presentation of a so-called research study. It conveys the message that changes are happening rapidly and that it is essential to keep up. With amusing video clips, stylish interaction, and incredible twists, he builds up to a climax in the form of a closing song. And your guests will participate with full conviction.
In a subtle way, he takes everyone out of their comfort zone. And thus creates a shared experience. Sounds a bit abstract? Understandable; you need to experience Otto’s fakespeech. The videos below give a good impression of his style. And the effect on the audience.
Otto Wijnen completed his HBO education in Cultural and Social Education in 1995. After many performances (children’s theater, actor, presenter) and various experiences (head of recreation, training as a multimedia producer, internet company), he decided in 2006 to fully focus on his fakespeech. He has been a professional fakespeaker for over 15 years. In 2018, Otto wrote “Help! I have to speak”; a practical handbook for speakers. He is a certified presentation coach, presentation trainer, speechwriter, SCIL coach, and the father of two daughters.
Otto Wijnen was born in Amstelveen in 1968 and has been an entrepreneur since 1999. In 2006, he began bringing energy to meetings, conferences, seminars, and other business events with his playful fakespeech about innovation and change. He also produces and hosts conference quizzes and talk shows. Additionally, Otto is a certified presentation trainer and coach, helping passionate professionals with their presentations. What sets Otto apart is his multimedia knowledge, quick humor, and language skills. Moreover, he enjoys collaborating with the client to see the bigger picture: why is the event being organized? What is the goal of his contribution? How do we achieve the highest return?
Having seen many speakers struggle with something that was relatively easy for him, he began supporting and coaching speakers. In 2011, he completed training at the School for Presentation Coaching and went to California in 2015 for multi-day intensive speaker training. He now trains passionate professionals during in-company training, open presentation training, and individual coaching. Otto is also committed to social causes by guiding world changers with their presentations. He has a particular interest in climate issues, drives an electric vehicle, and enjoys – when the schedule allows – the tranquility of the French Morvan.
Highly suitable for healthcare, education, government, ICT, finance, as well as industry associations and franchise organizations.
