Front Office Worker

As a result of an internal promotion for the Front Office on 1 September 2019, Speakers Academy® is looking for a colleague who will be joining our team full-time. The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial professional who goes for quality.

We are the agency for speaking Europe. Core tasks and responsibilities:

  • professional handling of e-mails, telephone and other communication;
  • Welcoming, receiving, informing and referring guests;
  • Manage and monitor the ever-changing agenda and scheduling of appointments;
  • processing and changes of administrative data and mail, handling of information flows;
  • Responsible for the accounts receivable and accounts payable administration, and the archive;
  • support from the management;
  • Maintaining supplies, household work in and around the office;
  • Organisation and preparation of meetings, lunches and meetings, internal and external relationship management.

Skills, properties and requirements:

  • HBO working and thinking level;
  • an independently working person, who can also work well in a team;
  • A person who can take responsibility and deal with freedom. Prioritising, time management and execution discipline are of great importance here;
  • A minimum of one year’s work experience in a secretarial, front office or similar position is a plus;
  • very good command of the Dutch and English language;
  • good interpersonal, communicative skills;
  • good command of MS Office;
  • Resistance to stress, keeping a lot of balls in the air, coping well with hectic situations, problem-solving abilities;
  • wide, generalist interest in all aspects (social, economic, cultural, political) of society. Sharp insight into human relations
  • in possession of driving licence B.

(junior) Allround Consultant

Many speakers and clients have found their way to Speakers Academy® over the years. Our experienced team relieves them of all their worries, serves them fully, stands for quality and therefore distinguishes itself in this sector.

For the sales department, Speakers Academy® is looking for a colleague to join our team. As a consultant, you will be dealing with requests for and bookings of our speakers on a daily basis, both on the Dutch and international markets. You will also be involved in online marketing and actively approaching new speakers and clients.

Operating activities

  • Processing requests and converting them into bookings.
  • Consult customers in the field of lectures and presentations.
  • Sustainable maintenance of relations with speakers and clients.
  • To act as a sparring partner and trusted advisor for your speaker portfolio.
  • Active approach to new speakers and clients (building your own database), both nationally and internationally.
  • Taking care of current content for the website and social media.
  • Setting up, executing and optimizing (online) marketing campaigns.

Profile

The ideal candidate is an enterprising professional who goes for quality. You act as an advisor and anticipate the needs of both the client and the speaker. You like advice, but don’t lose sight of the commercial goal. You like to score on results, but you also know that it takes more than a quick chat and you are willing to acquire knowledge and thus become an expert. Your analytical skills are of great importance when setting goals and strategies.

Even under high pressure of work, you continue to function well and changing circumstances are matched with a different approach. You can withstand constructive criticism and are convinced that – no matter how good you are – you can always grow.

Skills, characteristics and requirements

  • At least one completed higher professional education (HBO) course.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in words and in writing.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Dutch, French and English language
  • A broad, generalist interest in all aspects (social, economic, cultural, political) of society.
  • Sharp insight into human relationships.
  • Having a commercial institution, seeing opportunities in the market and exploiting them with your colleagues.
  • Experience with MS Office and other software; experience with InDesign, Premiere Pro and iMovie is an advantage.
  • In possession of driving licence BE
