Joske Kuut inspires organizations to judge less and connect more through keynotes, interactive workshops, and team sessions. Her themes touch on judgment-free leadership, work happiness, inclusivity, collaboration, and reducing interference in teams.
Joske Kuut is a speaker, trainer, and author. For over 25 years she’s stood before groups: from young athletes to seasoned professionals. She started as a basketball coach, became an international basketball referee, then worked as a teacher and trainer, and now is a speaker. Those years of experience taught her how to bring groups with energy and authenticity whether it’s ten teenagers or a hundred leaders.
In 2009, her life changed forever when her brother was murdered. Joske found herself immersed in a world full of judgments and assumptions. It struck her how quickly people are ready to judge without knowing the full story. From that pain grew her mission: to make the Netherlands more judgment-free.
Today, Joske inspires organizations to judge less and connect more. She does this through keynotes, interactive workshops, and team sessions. Her topics revolve around judgment-free leadership, work happiness, inclusivity, collaboration, and reducing noise and gossip within teams.
What makes Joske unique is her style: down to earth, accessible, and with humor. She dislikes complicated words, vague concepts, or airy stories. She believes in simplicity, honesty, and concrete actions that people can actually apply. She knows how to bring heavy topics lightly, without trivializing them.
The quickest path to better collaboration? Fewer assumptions, more questions.
She speaks equally comfortably to a small group as to a full auditorium, always creating a space of safety, openness, and laughter. No wagging finger — just a mirror, a laugh, and lots of recognition.
Joske is available for keynotes, workshops, and team sessions. She works with organizations across sectors: education, healthcare, government, corporate. Her goal is always the same: enabling people to be themselves, reducing gossip, and improving teamwork by judging less and asking more.
“Jo is a natural presenter whether co-hosting or fronting a programme or series. She is incredibly versatile and always brings an enthusiasm to any project. She’ll learn and deliver a script faultlessly but more impressively can write her own material and improvise in any situation. She is great at putting people at ease in front of the camera and bringing out the best in even the most nervous of interviewees. Jo is a joy to work with: relaxed but professional, fun, committed and enterprising.”
“Our teaching team experienced Joske’s session very positively. It was inspiring, engaging, and gave us plenty to think about. The key message I took away was: listen to my team members without judgment and with genuine attention and don’t make assumptions, but empower them to use their own strengths.
Joske’s personal story was intense, brave, and powerful. It made me realize that I need to look at people’s behavior with more curiosity instead of viewing it through the lens of judgment.
I would recommend this team session to any group searching for better collaboration and team dynamics. It definitely helped us connect more deeply and start honest conversations with one another.”
"On March 27, 2025, we hosted a lecture and interactive session with the members of NVDM-North. Joske Kuut’s story “You had it coming” touched us all deeply. One important takeaway: always check the facts before judging someone, and don’t assume something is true if you don’t actually know. Wise lessons that help you become a better person. Our members found the lecture incredibly valuable!"
