Dashboards do not build trust, stories do.
Carlo Alexander is a Global CISO, keynote speaker and transformation leader operating at the intersection of technology and human behaviour. With more than thirty years of experience in cybersecurity and technology leadership, he helps organisations deal with complexity at moments when models, dashboards and familiar ways of working fall short.
Throughout his career, Carlo has worked at board and executive level within large international organisations. He currently serves as CISO for a multinational with €14 billion in revenue. He leads global teams in environments where pressure, uncertainty and complexity are daily reality. That experience led to a clear conviction: transformations rarely fail because of technology, but because leaders fail to create sufficient trust, direction and ownership.
What distinguishes Carlo as a speaker is that he never separates technology from people. He focuses on how leaders create engagement and movement, especially when formal authority is limited, and certainty is absent. His keynotes are rooted in practical experience and show how influence works when decisions must be made without complete oversight.
Real transformation happens when leaders earn trust. And trust grows through the stories they tell and deliver on.
Carlo is known for his ability to translate complex topics such as cybersecurity, AI and digital change into stories that leaders can act on immediately. He challenges familiar thinking patterns and creates space for reflection without losing pace. His style is calm, sharp and deliberately human.
He has spoken at flagship executive events such as Aurora Live, where he addressed more than 600 CEOs and senior leaders, as well as the ONE Conference and the ISF Global Congress. His sessions at ISF were rated 4.5 out of 5. Carlo’s work and perspective have been featured on TechTV, CIO TV and the Dave Maasland Podcast. He is also a board member of CISO Community Netherlands, a Top 50 finalist for the Global Information Security Leadership Award 2025, and recipient of the ICT Media Award for Most Inspiring Leader of the Year.
Carlo does not deliver purely motivational presentations but adds structure and substance to his keynotes that prompt thinking and action. His audiences leave with clarity, practical tools and stories that stick. Whether speaking to a boardroom or a full conference hall, his message is consistent: real transformation happens when leaders earn trust, and trust grows through the stories they tell and deliver on.
Carlo is available for keynotes, workshops, event facilitation and board advisory programmes. Every session is tailored to the context and challenges of the audience.

"During a career of researching and teaching the Principles of Persuasion, I have never encountered anyone who understands better than Mischa Coster how they apply and can be effectively used within Social Media."
"Carlo's story at the ONE Conference was a strong reminder that real leadership is shaped by experience. He shared his scars not to impress, but to teach. My key takeaway: when distortion and pressure overshadow people, our soft skills and stories forge trust and empathy, the very things that unite teams and drive meaningful action."
"Carlo’s session at the ONE Conference was one of the most inspiring talks I’ve attended. In a field defined by complexity and competing perspectives, he brings clarity and connection that help leaders build trust and lasting impact."
"Carlo’s keynote for our Aurora Executive Day with 570 leaders was a highlight. With technical depth and instinct for people, he showed how trust, influence and storytelling turn complexity into action, sparking energy and practical change."
