Tycho Onnasch is a tech entrepreneur. He is currently advising founders who are building companies in the cryptocurrency and decentralized finance sectors.
Tycho first learned about Bitcoin when he was 14 years old and shortly thereafter developed a strong interest in finance. He studied History & Politics at the University of Oxford, focusing on economic and financial history. Tycho graduated with First Class honours and won multiple awards for his academic achievements. During his time at Oxford, he was elected to the board of the Oxford Union Debating Society, where he organized debates on topics at the intersection of technology, finance, and politics with world leaders.
These exchanges inspired Tycho to start a software company with some fellow students from Oxford. They founded Deedmob, a startup that develops specialized technology to promote volunteering. Deedmob’s products are used by non-profit organizations and (local) governments around the world and were awarded as the best volunteering software by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In 2020, Tycho was listed in Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe.
Now that Deedmob has become a stable and established software company, Tycho focuses on helping other entrepreneurs succeed – particularly in the fast-growing cryptocurrency and decentralized finance sectors. He has also continued his passion for free speech and debate by moderating events at international conferences – often on topics related to finance and technology.
When it comes to personal style, Tycho is recognized for his sharp interviewing skills. His ability to put speakers at ease creates an open environment to discuss significant topics in an engaging manner.
