Jess started her triathlon career at 23, a latecomer compared to her early-starting peers. She worked in a supermarket while nurturing a diverse athletic background. This background includes football with Leeds United Academy and golf at Wetherby Golf Club. Her competitive swimming at the City of Leeds Swim Club laid her triathlon foundation.
