About
Ilke Oner
Ilke Oner grew up in a first-generation Turkish-Dutch family and developed into an international leader with two master’s degrees. She combines personal resilience with scientific knowledge, experience in international organizations and corporates, and strong communication skills.
“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” — this philosophy forms the core of Ilke’s work. The way we think and perceive influences not only our personal development and business results, but also how we collaborate, lead, and deal with everyday challenges.
Ilke Oner is a neuropsychologist (alumna of Prof. Dr. Erik Scherder), marketer, and entrepreneur who brings complex subjects to a human and practical level. She provides concrete tools that help people reflect on their own thinking and behavioral patterns, improve mental well-being, and function more effectively in busy, demanding environments—such as dealing with bias, absenteeism, different generations, and differences in how our brains work.
Those who understand the brain, grow.
Ilke believes that basic knowledge about the brain should be accessible to everyone. When people understand how their brain works, they build a stronger connection with themselves—and therefore with others. That sense of connection creates a solid foundation for psychological safety. And when the brain experiences safety, people perform at their best: they make decisions with confidence, take ownership, and collaborate more effectively.
In her keynotes and programs, Ilke translates complex brain processes into practical insights that truly resonate and activate. No tricks, no superficial motivation—just a powerful combination of science, humanity, and sharp reflection.
On stage, Ilke is energetic, sharp, and connecting; she weaves together science, storytelling, and a touch of humor, inspiring participants, moving them, and encouraging deep reflection.
Boost Your Brain!
1. Taking Responsibility
Break self-sabotage and increase ownership
Everyone has potential, but the brain often keeps us small—without us even realizing it. In this session, you’ll discover how thoughts drive behavior and how unconscious patterns can hold you back.
What you will take away, among other things:
- Insight into how (self-)sabotage and procrastination arise
- Awareness of automatic thoughts, reactions, and behaviors
- A first step toward greater ownership, direction, and decisiveness
2. Change
How do you entice (others) to change?
Change is difficult—not because people are stubborn, but because our brain is primarily focused on survival. It chooses safety over novelty, the familiar over adventure. To the brain, every change feels like a risk and a potential loss.
The key? Behavioral change is simpler than we think. In this keynote, I reveal the formula behind it and show how to apply it. Using insights from neuroscience and practical examples tailored to the audience.
Participants discover:
- Why safety and connection are prerequisites for change
- How to make choices attractive using social proof and storytelling
- Simple tools you can apply as early as tomorrow to get others moving
The result: an inspiring, practical, and immediately applicable perspective on behavioral change—without complicated models, but returning to the essentials: safety, connection, and desire.
3. (Purpose-Driven) Leadership
How to take personal and professional leadership of your results through meaning
Leadership requires direction and intention. In this session, you explore how brain awareness can help you steer toward purpose and the results that follow from it.
Participants discover:
- How insight into meaning and purpose activates the brain
- Tools to provide direction not through control or fear, but through trust and connection—with yourself, with others, and with your mission
- A fresh perspective on purpose-driven leadership
4. Behavior
Enrich your perspective and improve your results
Those who understand the brain understand themselves and others. That opens the door to different behaviors and choices. It is the key to more curiosity and connection instead of judgment and friction.
In this session, you learn how thoughts, behavior, and outcomes are interconnected. This leads to stronger relationships, a safer psychological climate, and more space for development.
Participants discover:
- Greater ownership through understanding themselves and others
- More self-awareness, honest communication, curiosity, and less judgment
- Practical tools for greater job satisfaction and stronger collaboration
5. Team
Neuropsychology for better collaboration
Strong teams don’t arise by chance—they are built through trust, (psychological) safety, honest communication, and connection. This session shows how the brain influences collaboration: from assumptions, unclear communication, and projections to psychological safety.
Participants discover:
- Deeper insight into how collaboration is influenced by unconscious brain processes
- Practical tools to strengthen ownership, honest communication, and connection
- Less friction, more understanding of yourself—and therefore of others.
6. Self-Confidence
Break Imposter Syndrome and Build Assurance
Many women sabotage themselves—not because they aren’t capable, but because their brain tells them otherwise. This session offers recognition and practical tools to help you stand stronger and more confidently.
Participants discover:
- Insight into how expectations and role patterns influence the brain
- Awareness of daily limiting beliefs
- Concrete brain hacks to turn imposter feelings into confidence
7. Inclusion
From Unconscious Assumptions to True Inclusion
The brain makes assumptions at lightning speed—often without us noticing. But what if we learn to recognize them? This session provides insight into how (unconscious) patterns can block inclusion and what you can do to break through them.
Participants discover:
- Insight into how the brain “filters” differences between people
- Awareness of automatic reactions and judgments
- Practical tools to strengthen inclusion through curiosity and psychological safety
The result: less judgment, stronger collaboration, and genuine connection. A session that inspires reflection and action.
8. Influence
Creating Positive Impact on Yourself and Others
Every day, you influence others—consciously or unconsciously. But how exactly does this work? This session shows how you can create more impact through brain-based insights without losing authenticity.
Participants discover:
- Insight into how the brain makes decisions
- Understanding of the triggers that drive behavior
- Ways to communicate more consciously and effectively
Outcome: stronger relationships, better collaboration, and intentional influence that leads to mutual success.
9. Sales
The Neuropsychology of Successful Selling
Sales behavior isn’t about persuasion—it’s about understanding. This session shows how your client’s brain makes decisions and how you can respond without pushing, enabling clients to make choices based on trust rather than fear.
Participants discover:
- Insight into the decision-making brain
- Tools to neutralize objections
- Confidence to lead conversations without pressure
