Charlotte Labee’s journey into understanding the human system did not begin in a laboratory or at a university, but in a personal crisis she never saw coming. After a burnout that damaged her nervous system so severely that a neurologist mentioned the possibility of a wheelchair, she asked herself the question that would change her life – and the lives of thousands of others: who am I, and how do I live the life that is truly mine?
That question led her into ten years of deep study in neuroscience, nervous system regulation, systemic work, and the connection between body, mind, and behaviour. She discovered how patterns become embedded in the nervous system, how the experiences of generations before us shape the way we respond and perform today, and how to reprogram that system in a way that is concrete, accessible, and lasting. These insights became Brain Balance: a proven method that has grown into a movement with its own training institute, retreats, and a platform reaching tens of thousands of people.
Charlotte is the author of ten bestselling books on the nervous system, conscious living, relationships, and the inner child, together sold more than 600,000 times and translated into English and Chinese. Her theatre tour reached over 100,000 visitors across the Netherlands. As a multibrand entrepreneur, she founded the Brain Balance Institute, Charlotte Labee Supplements, and CL Health – brands united by the same mission and the same method. She is a sought-after speaker for companies, executive teams, and major public stages in the Netherlands and internationally, speaking in both Dutch and English.
Her talks address what truly happens when people get stuck: the stress, the burnout, the patterns that hold back teams and individuals, and what changes when you address the system rather than the symptoms. She speaks with the authority of someone who has lived it, the clarity of someone who understands it scientifically, and the warmth of someone who knows what it takes to return to yourself. People leave the room differently than they entered – not because they were motivated, but because they saw something they can no longer unsee.
