About Dick Berlijn
General (ret.) Dick Berlijn is one of the most experienced and respected leaders within the Dutch armed forces. As former Chief of Defence (2004–2008), he was in charge of Dutch military operations in countries such as Afghanistan and Iraq. His impressive career began as a fighter pilot in the Royal Netherlands Air Force and eventually led him to the highest military rank in the country.
After his military career, Berlijn brought his expertise to Deloitte, where he served as a strategic advisor in the field of cybersecurity and digital safety. Today, he is an Associate Partner at FGS Global, advising organizations on complex issues related to defense, crisis management, and leadership in a digital world.
