About Daphne Laan
Daphne Laan is a visionary entrepreneur, board whisperer, and international keynote speaker with over 25 years of experience in digital innovation, leadership development, and ecosystem transformation. She is the founder of House of Wonder — including the House of Wonder Gallery located in the forest — and co-founder of Planetir and The Board Whisperers. Through these initiatives, technology, storytelling, and community-building come together to make transition tangible.
At Google, Daphne worked as Head of Technology & Dealmaking and Ecosystem Development, where she also led Women@Google NL. During this period, she began a personal and professional experiment: what happens when you follow your heart in business? The answer opened unexpected doors to impactful, system-changing initiatives.
This journey led her to become Managing Director and Impact Investor of The DOWN to EARTH Collective, which started as a documentary — premiering at the UN Climate Conference in Paris — and evolved into a global movement. In 2021, Daphne launched the film internationally via a platform she developed herself, featuring an innovative pay-as-you-like model. In addition, she serves as a board member of the DOWN to EARTH Foundation and The Internet Society, where she is committed to building an inclusive, sustainable, and open digital future.
With Planetir, Daphne works toward a regenerative future through an ecosystem platform that reconnects people and nature. Through The Board Whisperers, she supports leaders and board members in profound transitions, where intuition, systemic insight, and vision come together.
