Christian Malard has been a senior foreign analyst on france television since july 1992. From july 1987 to july 1992 he got the same assignment on la 5 tv which he joined after he was the co manager of the foreign desk of rtl radio from 1974 to 1987.

Christian Malard was elected to his great interviews and editorials on foreign policy journalist 2009 by the Association of Foreign Press in France, which has more than 1,000 journalists representing the 5 continents.

Christian Malard graduated from Paris 4 Sorbonne University and from Queen S University in Canada where he started on the radio with a CBC affiliate.

Since 2000 he has been a consultant for Us Tv channels CNN and NBC and for BBC, BBC World in Great Britain, BBC World, Aljazeera English, Arabic Al Arabyia and international review Arabies And Trends.

Since 2007 on France 5 TV,  he is the co anchor with Bernard Vaillot of a famous 60 minutes program entitled “Exposed”, focusing on world political leaders and broadcasted in 43 countries.

Christian Malard is a specialist of the US and Middle East. He interviewed several times all US presidents from Jimmy Carter to GW Bush, all arabic heads of states from Moubarak to Bachar El Assad  king Abdallah of Jordan and their predecessors Haffez El Assad, king Hussein and others, all israeli prime ministers From Menahem begin to Ehud Olmert   all russian presidents from Gorbatchev to Poutine.

Christian Malard covered the iranian revolution trough the first 3 years of Ayatollah  Khomeiny whom he interviewed 5 times.

He is with Alain Rodier the co author of a book on the iranian revolution entitled “Reza Pahlavi from Exile to Conquest”published by Pon.

He wrote also the memories of Roland Mesnier the pastry chef who spent 25 years at the white house and served 5 presidents from Jimmy Carter to GW Bush, the book  entitled “Sucré d’Etat” has been published by Flammarion.

He is the co-author with Florence Klein of ” Emerging Africa” at Cherche Midi publishing cie, june 2010. He just published on march 1st 2012, ” Dans les secrets des maîtres du monde” at De la Martinière publishing cie , relating his meetings and conversations with 7 US presidents, 3 russian presidents, 8 israeli prime ministers and most of the arabicheads of state.

Christian Malard is also co chairman of the european american press club in paris.

En plus de 40 ans de radio et de télévision, Christian Malard a rencontré des dizaines, voire des centaines de chefs d'Etat, mais il a également vécu ou entendu beaucoup de choses en "off". Ce sont ces souvenirs glanés auprès de ces "Maîtres du monde" qu'évoque l'éditorialiste de France Télévisions, dans ce livre regorgeant de scoops et de révélations surprenantes. Notamment un portrait de Kadhafi, cocaïnomane et délirant, dont l'addiction explique bien des postures et des silences, auteur d'une tentative de viol sur une journaliste française. Ou bien cet étonnant récit du retour de l'ayatollah Khomeiny en Iran à bord d'un avion rempli de journalistes... uniquement pour empêcher Israël d'abattre ledit avion à coups de missiles. Ou encore les coulisses de la campagne de Jimmy Carter, l'improbable candidat démocrate en 1977. On croise également, au fil des pages, tous ceux qui ont gouverné le monde depuis les années 1970 : Shimon Peres, Begin, Rabin ou Netanyahu, Ben Ali, Bongo, Gbagbo, Bouteflika, Clinton et les Bush, père et fils, Tony Blair, Eltsine, Gorbatchev et Poutine, Mitterrand, Chirac et Sarkozy... Le livre les révèle hors de l'image officielle, et ils sont parfois effrayants, parfois touchants. Un document passionnant pour quiconque s'intéresse à la politique étrangère.
