Sabine Oberhuber is convinced that we each have a unique purpose on Earth: to make the world a better place, each in our own way. Growing up in Freiburg, Germany’s greenest city, Sabine developed an innate passion for our planet. Environmental issues were a regular topic of conversation around her family’s kitchen table, shaping her awareness from a young age. Driven by her belief that true change begins with people’s mindsets, she went on to study economics, politics, and history, with the aim of contributing to societal transformation from within.
Sabine studied Economics at the Freie Wilhelms University in Münster, Germany, and completed her Master’s in Management at the ESCP European School of Management, with specialisations in Strategy and Finance, across Paris, Oxford, and Berlin. She is a co-founder of Turntoo, where she collaborates with organisations to develop circular business cases and strategies. As a partner of Thomas Rau, Sabine has been closely involved in the development of RAU and the Oneplanetarchitecture Institute since their inception. Previously, she worked as a Corporate Strategist and Manager of Internet Strategy, leading strategic planning for Reed Business Information in the Netherlands and Continental Europe.
Sabine Oberhuber thrives on tackling complex issues and pioneering themes. For her, synthesis is as important as analysis, as it creates actionable insights that consider the bigger picture. Her work in the circular economy brings together her passion for the planet and her fascination with intellectual and interdisciplinary challenges.
A passionate speaker, Sabine’s lectures aim to inspire action, guided by the words of T.S. Eliot: “We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.”
