After having successfully climbed the Mount Everest and skiing to the North & South Pole. Jaco Ottink is now one of the few people that has completed the Explores Grand Slam.
Jaco Ottink is your guide in achieving personal and team goals. After climbing the Mount Everest successfully and skiing to the North & South Pole. Jaco is now one of the few people around the world that has completed the Explores Grand Slam (the highest mountain on each of the 7 continents and both Poles). He also almost has twenty years of global sales experience in the FMCG industry. This combination makes him unique for his audience, which can be one on one, in front of a crowd or together with a leadership team.
Every day we set ourselves a goal and before we even reach this target, we already have a new one in place. But what do we do with our own dreams? As an explorer of the world, Jaco set himself goals that always come from a dream and include a purpose. For this reason, he is convinced that we should dare to dream as a child, a teenager or an adult. These dreams must challenge us, enrich us, cost and give us energy, but they need to fit in our individual lives too.
Dare to Dream sounds easy but do we take the time to think about our personal vision and if we do so, are we able to translate this into our day-to-day business? His 20-year journey to complete the Explorers Grand Slam has a 100% match with the world in which we work in, but from a different angle.
As the story unfolds, he will involve the group in solving some of the challenges or dilemmas with which he was confronted. These include:
• Preparation is 90% of a successful outcome
• Iron Discipline (good is not always good enough)
• What is your goal (what does success look like?)
• Acclimatization – getting ready
• Mental wellbeing
• Team player versus own goals
• External circumstances that have an impact
• Why do we trust people?
• What is your point of return during an expedition (a frozen eye, 3 weeks pain?)
• When do you start celebrating?
Jaco’s ambition is to leave the audience with the following key messages:
• Dare to chase your dream, believe in yourself that you can do it!
• Key Drivers for being successful
• Iron Discipline, Perfect Preparation and Execution and Perseverance
Jaco’s expectation is that people will take the stories, workshops and coaching back home and into the workforce and that his guidance will accelerate achieving their dreams.
