Daniel Mizere is a multilingual language and communications specialist, Reserve Officer in the Army, former professional soldier, and author of the book De taal van leiders: hoe toppolitici communiceren (“The Language of Leaders: How Top Politicians Communicate”). He advises companies, politicians, and NGOs in his role with the oldest public affairs office in the Netherlands: EPPA Politics & Lobby Consultants.
Daniel studied Dutch, English, and French Linguistics at the Catholic University of Leuven, after which he earned a Master of Arts in Journalism cum laude at the Free University of Brussels. He applies his knowledge with EPPA as a consultant in the fields of political communication, strategic communications, and media relations.
Before joining EPPA, Daniel was a professional service member in the Royal Netherlands Air Force. He worked as a team leader, military linguist, and policy editor, both in the Netherlands and abroad. Aside from his work for EPPA, Daniel is also active as a Reserve Officer (Captain) in the Royal Netherlands Army in the field of Communications and Engagement. As a Reserve Officer he trains fellow service members in intercultural communications several times a year.
Daniel is also the author of the Dutch book De taal van leiders: hoe toppolitici communiceren (“The Language of Leaders: How Top Politicians Communicate”). To write that book Daniel conducted research on various political communication methods used by Mark Rutte, Barack Obama, and Emmanuel Macron. While doing so, Daniel researched their linguistic techniques as well as their (social) media use.
Finally, Daniel is a driven polyglot: he speaks Dutch, English, French, Spanish, Lingala, and Portuguese.
