“Challenging work, inspiring leadership and healthy stress can’t exist without each other. Those three elements are the ingredients for an optimal balance between work and home and are the basis for a successful organisation or company and a happy personal life.”
Prof. dr. Anton van der Geld is a health psychologist, clinical psychologist and psychotherapist and was educated in Utrecht, Leuven and Tilburg. He has an examination and treatment practice in ’s-Hertogenbosch, is chief trainer in psychotherapy, and professor-president of the Foundation BeNeLux-University for science and culture and for the promotion of humanity, established in Antwerp, Eindhoven and Luxembourg. He holds various board and consultant positions and is part of a large network in the BeNeLux countries, where he is a popular speaker.
Professor Van der Geld strives enthusiastically for a more humane society. He has received royal decorations in Belgium, The Netherlands and Luxembourg and the Major Bosshardt Prize for a better society. Recently his book ‘Balance in our lives?’ was published. Anton van der Geld is not a ‘nutty professor’ who is understood by scientists and psychologists only, but a man who stands with both feet on the ground. He uses his knowledge to help others to perform better and with more pleasure. Prof. Van der Geld is a very modest and yet realistic man, who has deep respect for other people. Anton van der Geld is an inspiring speaker and an excellent listener, who loves interaction with his audience. That makes him a fine chairman and discussion leader as well. His favourite topics include: motivation, being successful at work and at home, handling stress (positive and negative), leadership, communication and creativity.
