He travels the world to advise governments and business on how to future-proof themselves / prepare themselves for the future. Together with his clients, he identifies future challenges and strategies to turn them into opportunities. His biggest passion is comparing Asia and the West: what can managers and leaders in Western Europe learn from their counterparts in Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, and South Korea, and vice versa?
Prof. dr. Zeger van der Wal obtained his PhD in Public Administration cum laude from the VU University Amsterdam. He holds the Ien Dales Chair in Public Management at Leiden University and CAOP, and works as Associate Professor at Asia’s premier university, the National University of Singapore. He is also Distinguished Visiting Professor at Tsinghua University in China. He has (co)authored over 100 publications, and has won several research and teaching awards. He manages a very active consulting portfolio of more than 50 clients in over 20 countries, including major governments and international companies.
