About Suyin Aerts
After a career as a professional ballet dancer, a job as an actress and presenter for Belgian television and several years in the fashion industry, Suyin Aerts decided to continue her atypical career by joining the communication and marketing company founded by her partner.
Today, she combines her professional life as a CEO and business owner with a freelance career as a multilingual presenter and journalist for television (Kanaal Z / Canal Z) and as a moderator and speaker at events.
In 2012, Suyin Aerts received the Talent Award for Women in Marketing and Communication in the Netherlands as an entrepreneur. In 2016 she won the prize of networker of the year in Belgium. In 2019 she received the International Wintrade Award for Women in The Media (sponsored by Microsoft) in London.
With a Master’s degree in Industrial Business Policy, several marketing degrees and a degree in International Trade from the International Chamber of Commerce, Suyin remains determined to keep broadening her vision and knowledge, to grow further and to remain creative and innovative in her entrepreneurship. In 2020 she finishes the Take The Lead, Digital Disruption course at the Vlerick Business School.
In the spring of 2022 she published her first book at Lannoo Campus, “Time for the creative generalist”, in Dutch. In her book, she makes a plea for rebellious entrepreneurship.
Moderator and Speaker
As a moderator, presenter and interviewer, Suyin Aerts can be used for many different types of events and topics. From human resources, marketing, digital transformation, to communication, political debates and much more. Suyin has a lot of experience in moderating and hosting events, both, on stage and virtually.
Her television experience is of course a big plus in camera experience. The people she interviewed are also always wildly enthusiastic about the strong, original, authentic approach and good preparation of her questions.
As a speaker, Suyin can stick to topics that are related to her book about ‘Time for the creative generalist’ or create something tailor-made as an experienced speaker, writer, CEO and former top athlete. Suyin is also often asked to talk about the importance of networking. She adapts willingly and easily to the requested subjects of the customers and pours them with her own sauce and style; inspiring, energetic, a bit rebellious with humor and femininity.
Suyin calls herself an Olympic entrepreneur because she sees a great correlation as a former top athlete between sports and entrepreneurship. Her unfair advantage is that she is a very good interviewer, moderator and presenter as she is an entrepreneur at ease in many markets, with a lot of experience on stage and in front of the camera. She also does this flawlessly in three languages and in addition to Dutch, French and English, she also speaks a little Spanish, German and understands Italian.
