About Sonja Eser

Sonja Eser’s work approach is based on her firm belief that there must be no conflict between successful economic activities on the one hand and treating people and nature with respect on the other hand. Therefore for more than 10 years now she develops with her company SinnenWandel necessary steps to support an ecological transformation and a circular economy.

Sonja Eser who holds a doctor’s degree in biology, offers her audience inspiring prospects in larger contexts as well as in current and innovative trends in the rapidly evolving field of circular economy.

She knows how to convey deeper insights for the complex problems of hot topics (resource shortage, littering of oceans, enrichment of toxic substances in man and environment or the climate change) and end with surprising conclusions. She also succeeds in addressing the contemporary difficult topics in a humorous and emphatic way.

She is not only an inspiring speaker but for years now successfully offers concepts, consulting and seminars for capacity development for sustainable actions of both people and organisations. Further key activities are biodiversity and business, systems thinking, support of innovation and cooperation processes with lively and experienced-based methods, if applicable also in and with nature.

As an author of simulation games on the topics “design for the circular economy” and “handling of complex systems” she is used to illustrate difficult connections in a clear and simple language.

She holds a lectureship at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences for sustainability marketing. Between 2010 and 2012 she headed EPEA Academy in Munich for the concept Cradle to Cradle®.

With one of the first realized family houses according to Cradle to Cradle she has gained much experience in this pioneer work.

The topics she regularly gives speeches to are: Going Circular – Strategies for a nature friendly economy; Design for Diversity, A house with nature – from vision to realization of a cradle to cradle inspired family home.
