EXECUTION: Sarah will seamlessly translate lessons learned on the battlefield to strategies for improved performance and leadership in the workplace.
Backed by science. Proven in combat.
Having graduated from Cambridge University, Sarah joined the Royal Air Force, training and ?ying as a combat helicopter pilot. As a Squadron Leader she was deployed on tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan, becoming the ?rst female helicopter pilot to lead UK Special Forces missions in Iraq.
Her experiences of performing whilst under intense pressure, and in the face of multiple threats, have given her a unique insight into the human condition. How people respond to pressure and the way in which effective training and thorough preparation can prepare you to respond in the face of extreme challenges.
Sarah detailed her helicopter training and combat experiences in a No.1 best selling book Fly Higher, published in 2022. Part memoir, part training manual for the mind, Sarah’s book takes the reader on a journey, from helicopter crashes and rigorous interrogation training through to the bene?ts of meditation and mindfulness.
When speaking to organisations Sarah shares hard-earned lessons learned while under ?re into military-grade mindfulness strategies for improved self-leadership. She combines story telling and personal experience with practical ways for audiences to develop resilience, perform under pressure and to make the right choices when facing adversity.
Her Healthy Automatic Behaviours In Threatening Scenarios (HABITS) approach teaches audiences the way to stay ‘bombproof’ when under pressure, and to feel awesome. One of the key aspects of Sarah’s public speaking work is her ability to tailor content to suit each audience’s requirements, understanding the objectives of the event and helping ensure it meets its objectives.
