About Reinhard Willfort
Dr. Reinhard Willfort started his career at Siemens in Austria. Besides working as IT engineer he studied Telematik and Economy at the University of Technology Graz. In 2000 he received his PhD degree with distinction in innovation- and knowledge management.
He holds numerous projects with SMEs, is author of more than 50 publications, provides lectures on knowledge and innovation management, and coordinates the master’s programme for Innovation at the Danube University Krems in Austria.
In the context of his work as consultant, innovation manager, trainer and university lecturer he deals with fostering and supporting open innovation, especially crowdsourcing and crowdfunding processes, as well as creativity at the future workplace.
Since 2001 he is founder and CEO of ISN – Innovation Service Network, Austrian’s leading innovation company. As entrepreneur and founder of five further start-ups he supervises the innovation and knowledge management processes of several leading Austrian companies.
In 2012 he established Austria’s first crowdinvesting platform 1000×1000.at. Reinhard Willfort is co-founder of the European Crowdfunding Network and also member of the Board of Directors. Thus, he is promoter of one of the most promising entrepreneurship initiatives in Europe.
