Miguel Irisarri studied a bachelor in Economics and Business Management at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and he has a MBA from the IESE Business School (Universidad de Navarra). He is regular teacher at the Business School de Garrigues (ESDEN Business School) and a lecturer in other business schools. He also collaborates occasionally with the Cátedra de Empresa Familiar (Family Owned Studies) at IESE Business School.
He has leaded several high responsibility positions in different institutions like Daiwa Securities, Barclays Bank and Banco Urquijo. He has been General Director at UBS Wealth Management Spain and Counselor and President at A&G Private Bank. Additionally, he has been involved with the creation of different companies, for which he stills works as advisor.
Among his professional career, Miguel Irisarri has been an important leading figure in some important cultural integrations (Banco de Progreso with Banco Urquijo and the following arrival of an executive team from Barclays Bank), in innovative processes that required a high dose of empathy and flexibility (intregration of projects of Banca Premier, Personal Banking and Private Banking in Barclays Bank and Banco Urquijo), in the creation of a strong commercial team leaded by a powerful brand and with a really high level of demand (development of UBS Wealth Management Spain) and in the difficulties of working in a company with all the familiar owned features that wants to achieve a growing process typical from multinational enterprises (A&G Private Bank).
