Mario Alonso is a doctor specialized in General Surgery and Digestive Medicine. His curriculum covers fellowships at the Harvard University Medical School, at the Science Academy of New York and at the American Association for the Improvement of Science. He has taken classes and courses at Harvard University about Human Intelligence, Mind and Body Medicine and Positive Psicology. Furthermore, he also has a Masters in Hospital Management from IESE and several Leadership and Coaching diplomas from various institutions.
As a teacher, his main collaborations have taken place in the IMD in Lausanne (Switzerland) and he has also been a guest teacher for the Global Leadership Centre at the INSEAD in Fountainebleau (France). Mario Alonso was a member of the World Economic Forum´s Global Agenda Council on New Models of Leadership 2011(Davos) , guest teacher at University CEIBS in Shanghai and the Chamber of Commerce in China. Additionally, Mario Alonso was present in the Global Management Program in Seoul (Corea) and also at the GLOBIS University in Tokyo (Japan) too.
In 2012, Mario Alonso was prized the best health communicator. Alongside this prize, he also won the most important prize for communication and human relations from the Dale Carnegie Institute of New York. Besides his academic duties, Mario Alonso wrote numerous books and nowadays holds conferences and courses across borders, regarding subjects such as: Leadership, Communication, Creativity and Stress Management.
