Lexter calls herself “the Slash Lady”, because she is a speaker / host / presenter / actress / headhunter / PhD candidate etc…
Lexter Woodley has a background in Law and Journalism. Her academic background consists of two Bachelor's degrees, one in Social Legal Services and one in Journalism, and a Master's degree in Law. She is currently undertaking a PhD in Gender Studies at Birkbeck, University of London. Lexter started her PhD research when she lived in London for two years.
As part of her PhD research, which focuses on “career women”, Lexter can be hired as a speaker to share her (preliminary) scientific insights during fairs and events. Especially during the month of the annual International Women's Day, Lexter conducts interviews and gives lectures on how female main earners “negotiate” with their partners about the joint household and family situation.
In addition to her academic activities, Lexter is also involved in Dutch Einsteins, her own headhunting agency. Through this agency she regularly gives career-related workshops and training courses at various career events. She can also be seen on the main stage at career fairs as a presenter/chair/host at, among others, FRED Expo career fair in WTC Rotterdam and De Nederlandse Carrièredagen in Utrecht: the largest career fair in the autumn (over 9,500 visitors).
Lexter also takes the main stage at events that are not so much about her academic or professional background. As presenter/chair/host she worked on behalf of Buma Music in Motion (Pakhuis de Zwijger), Day of the World Music (World Music Dance Center), Dutch Jazz & World Music (Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ), Independence Day Festival South Holland (main stage Het Park, Rotterdam) and Philips (Marbella, Spain).
In addition to her work for "live" audiences, Lexter also has extensive experience in front of the camera. As a model she worked for the following clients, including: Bol.com, GVB Amsterdam, Trendhopper, Ortel, Kruidvat, Leo Lux, Bonduelle, B-Post Belgium, Vlisco. As an actress for the following productions: Primera, Lidl, Univé, ARAG, Achmea, De Belastingdienst, Takeaway.com, “Koos” TV series (Omroep Gelderland) and “Hard Klappen” TV series (AT5).
And as a presenter for, among others: “Suriname” a documentary in Suriname about cultural diversity, Flex Educational TV, an information film for pre-vocational secondary education students in healthcare and Online Spotted (RTL5).
She also uses this camera experience during career-related workshops and training courses to highlight body language and video applications.
All of Lexter’s slashes serve its motto in life: bringing people and ideas together from different angles. Prior to an event, she is happy to discuss the desired angles. Lexter will then bring at least the following ingredients: enthusiasm, warmth and professionalism.
In the spring of 2020, Lexter has published a (play)book: ‘Talk Data To Me', a collection of '' gender '' issues based on research data.
"‘De Superpromoter’ by Rijn Vogelaar focuses on the people most companies take for granted. Moreover, in a lot of cases these companies are not even aware of these people. Because companies are too busy taking care of unsatisfied customers. People who expect unreasonable services and immediately spread the word when a company makes a mistake. A lot of books are written about how to handle these unsatisfied customers, how to improve customer services and how to control bad publicity. No doubt that they can be of help. But does it give a company new energy? Not really. Using the power of enthusiasm by superpromoters does. Not only will it drive sales in the end, but it will also bring positive energy to companies itself.
In that way this book is refreshing within its genre. Author Rijn Vogelaar made a huge effort in combining recent insights by marketing thought leaders to build up his story about enthusiasm. The book encourages and gives tools to start looking for superpromoters outside, but also within companies. But Vogelaar did not stop at that point. Next to writing the book he also launched a website with actual superpromoters telling their story in video and updates a blog with new material.
What makes it even more interesting is the fact that he’s also the CEO of a well respected research company that got voted ‘best marketing research agency of the year 2009’.
Here at selexyz we were very happy to add ‘ The Superpromoter’ to our assortment of management books. We are convinced that it will enthuse English readers –and therefore native bookstores- too. It’s a potential best-seller within its category overseas too."
