Klaas Weima is founder and managing director of creative agency Energize. Energize creates strategic, effective and interactive campaigns for top brands in Europe. Key accounts include Walt Disney, GlaxoSmithKline, Mercis (Miffy), Univé, Disneyland Paris, Randstad, WWF and Unicef. Energize consists of a creative team of 25 professionals and is based in Utrecht, The Netherlands and Shanghai, China. Furthermore, he is board member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau Netherlands and Founding Partner of Online Tuesday, a monthly online marketing event held in Amsterdam.

Since 1995, Klaas has dedicated his career to interactive marketing. Besides Energize, Klaas has worked for several agencies including Reddion and Free for One. In cooperation with the Erasmus University Rotterdam he conducted the first European Study on the effectiveness of banner advertising. As a result, he won the eBusiness Thesis Award and the DDMA Scholarship Award. In 2009, Klaas was nominated for the title 'Best Online Media Man of the Year'.

Klaas wrote the book 'Webvertising: Tools for an Effective Campaign' and was co-author of 'Industry Changes caused by the Internet'. He frequently writes for renowned marketing magazines and blogs, including: Marketingfacts, MarketingTribune, Marketing RSLT, Emerce Magazine, MolBlog and Tijdschrift voor Marketing (Journal of Marketing). Moreover, he is a speaker and host of the podcast show SparkCast.
