Jesús Zamora-Bonilla (1963) is professor of philosophy of science. He is PhD both in philosophy and in economics, and a prolific author of academic articles and books, mainly on philosophical problems like human rationality, the nature of knowledge and truth, scientific progress, the social organisation of science, as well as on the atheism, and moral relativism.
Another of his fields of interest is popular communication of science and philosophy. In this area, he is director of the Master Programme on Science Journalism and Communication at UNED (Madrid), and keeps one of the most influential philosophy blogs in Spanish, A bordo del Otto Neurath(On board of the ‘Otto Neurath’).
Jesús Zamora-Bonilla defends a naturalistic vision of man, knowledge, and the universe, in which transcendence, values, free will or spirituality are names for important attitudes and sentiments of flesh-and-bone people, but with no relation to a supposed realm of supernatural reality.
He is also author of a forthcoming novel (The garden of the Magi, Casa del Libro, 2013).
