Teunen wants to improve healthcare with VR. He has set up two start-ups for this purpose. PlaygroundVR offers a virtual playground for children who cannot play outside due to their illness. MedKitVR makes it easier for hospitals to use VR professionally. And there are many applications for healthcare: VR offers so much distraction that a patient experiences less trouble during a painful treatment. This is already being used in the emergency department. Teunen can tell you exactly where, how and what the results are.

Teunen does not only know what is going on in the Netherlands and Europe in the field of VR and AR. He is also looking for the latest developments and possibilities outside these areas. Last year, for example, he travelled to Dubai and Taiwan.
