About
Arnoud Raskin
Arnoud Raskin is a social entrepreneur and founder of the Mobile School foundation (VZW Mobile School). This organisation builds mobile schools and develops educational material to carry out basic education and prevention work with children in vulnerable situations. Mobile School thus responds to their needs: boosting their self-esteem, discovering their talents, and empowering them so they are better able to survive in their challenging environment.
In those 20 years of experience and through research on the streets, Arnoud discovered that these young people have a lot of inner strength. They reinvent themselves on a daily basis, they are able to deal with an ongoing reality in crisis and constantly translate it into opportunities. Arnoud was inspired by this and started StreetwiZe, which translated the street skills of these young people into unconventional leadership training courses for companies.
That way, StreetwiZe not only authentically increases positive opportunity focus, proactive creativity, resilience, agility and internal cohesion in teams but it also strengthens companies and their employees. 100% of its profits are reinvested in Mobile School’s educational projects. StreetwiZe has built an impressive portfolio consisting of many small and large, national and international companies and organisations, both in the profit and non-profit sector.

2. Change Maker Leadership
After more than 15 years of gathering insights as leader of MobileSchool.org, Arnoud has built a globally dispersed reputation in social entrepreneurship. He is a fellow of the Ashoka network that brings together so-called ‘Change Maker Leaders’ from around the world. Within that organisation, he was selected by McKinsey to join 11 fellow changemakers from around the world to think about what this means concretely: Change Maker Leadership.
During this keynote, Arnoud will present the 3 core ingredients of Change Maker Leadership. Such leadership is essential to tackle global problems, such as primary education for 150 million street children, global warming or global environmental issues, but also to bring about concrete change in your personal life and work environment. Arnoud makes it clear that believing in a solution, realising that we are all connected, and knowing that the vast majority of people have good intentions, are the basic ingredients to change things. Not from lofty theories but translated into concrete steps anyone can take to make Change Maker Leadership their own.
