About Alexander Rapoport

Alexander Rapoport was born on 1st of April, 1947 in Bulgaria. His parents were doctors. The family moved to Leningrad after living in Bulgaria. From childhood he dreamt of becoming an actor. He dreamt of cinema and theater and then started to go to the theatrical circle. At all school events Alexander entertained classmates singing. He studied not very well and entered the Perm medical Institute, specialty «psychiatry». After his graduation worked as a neurologist in the town Berezniki; after he worked as psychiatrist on duty in Moscow.

In 1990 he moved to the United States, where he worked as a private driver.

Took a course at the University and after graduation worked as a counselor at the Agency of social psychological assistance to Russian-speaking immigrants. Later opened own psychotherapeutic room.

On the Russian-speaking American television channel Alexander created a broadcast «Mirror» that was devoted to the psychological problems of people. At the professional studio he recorded a CD on verses and music of Igor Gazarch. Got an acting education at «Lee Strasberg School» in New York. In 2002 Alexander came to Moscow to present his new album. Due to the presentation Alexander got to number of participants and winners of the first contest «Chanson of the year». Recorded several albums.

Broadcasted the program «Hour before midnight» at the radio station «Silver rain».

Permanent expert of the program «Men’s territory» on TV Center channel. Leads the program «Come to see us!» on TV channel «A minor». Works in the art-project «Hotel of the two worlds» in the centre «Soglasie» under the direction of A. Golubev. Performed in the Moscow theatre «Master». Jointly with Alex Leslie led basic classes on theory and practice of seduction.

Currently lives in New York.
