About Roel in ‘t Veld
Prof. dr. Roel in ‘t Veld is chairman of the Dutch Advisory Council for Research on Spatial Planning, Nature and the Environment (RNMO). The council advises the government on research policy regarding town and country planning, environment, nature and landscape, and focusses particularly on developing and organising knowledge concerning important social issues that have to do with country planning, environmental management and the development of nature and landscape. RNMO looks three to fifteen years ahead. There are also sectoral councils for health care, agriculture and development co-operaton.
He was special professor of Organisation at the University of Amsterdam, and professor of Hybrid Organisation at OUNL. Currently Roel in ‘t Veld is professor of Public Administration Management at the University of Utrecht, dean of the (Graduate) Netherlands School of Government, Rector of Sioo, and chairman of the Board of Directors of the Railways infraprovider. Professor in ‘t Veld is a member of the High Council of the European Universitary Institute in Florence, France.
