About René Diekstra
René F.W. Diekstra is without a doubt one the most productive and discussed psychologists in The Netherlands. He is a ‘productive’ scientist, organisation consultant and trainer, publicist, columnist, practising psychologist and psychotherapist. Dr Diekstra is chairman of the Task Force Social Infrastructure. He was professor at various universities and program manager for the World Health Organisation in Geneva and the High Commissioner for Refugees.
In The Netherlands René Diekstra contributes to the wide distribution of psychological knowledge and methods. He initiated the Psychology Magazine and founded institutions for psychological research, assistance and training. Dr. Diekstra was one of the first scientists to offer ‘live’ psychological advice and assistance to individuals, the authorities and companies on the Internet. He is a very convincing speaker and trainer on general psychology, stress management, personal effectiveness and crisis management. René Diekstra wrote a large number of scientific and popular articles and books.
