About Ludovic Bouancheau
Ludovic Bouancheau is currently a Senior Animator at Dreamworks Animation studios. He graduated from the “Gobelins l’école de l’image in Paris in 2007”, one of the world best institution in animation, after learning both 2D and 3D animation. He first worked in Europe at Framestore, London and in Paris, for Diffuz, where he rigged and animated main characters for the title of a French national TV show.
He was then recruited by Dreamworks to train and supervise animators in India where the company had just opened a new studio. He worked as a supervising animator on two TV specials, Merry Madagascar and Scared Shrekless. Prior to lead the project of Dreamworks in India, he also worked in the studios in Los Angeles, where he was animator on Madagascar – Escape 2 Africa.
Since he came back to Dreamworks Animation in Los Angeles, he has animated main characters of many projects including Madagascar 2, Megamind, Puss In Boots and Turbo.
For the latter film he was nominated for a VES Award in 2012. Besides his studio career, Ludovic Bouancheau has given conferences about acting and workflow at various venues including Dreamworks itself and Evolve CG in Orlando, Florida.
