In 2008 Kathy took over the family business as a young CEO, and later in 2010, she founded Sichuan Seeway Machinery Company, Ltd. which became one of the leading private construction machinery rental companies in Sichuan, China. Prior to her family business succession, Kathy was the youngest national chess champion at the age of 10 in 1996 and again at 12 in 1998. She is one of the youngest chess master in China. In 2011, Seeway Investment was established with the vision to build a trusted economy offering innovative portfolios to both investors and partners worldwide. Seeway Investment is a multifaceted business offering investment management, trading and consultancy services to its clients. Among her success, Kathy is Member of the Chinese Peoples Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) in Chengdu; Deputy Executive Director of the Chengdu Commerce and Industry Committee; Member of the Foundation Board of Global Shapers Community World Economic Forum; and Image Ambassador of Chengdus Young Entrepreneurs. She was awarded as one of the Top Ten Entrepreneur Representatives of Chinas Economic Innovation in 2011 and 2013. In 2012 Kathy founded KG Inc, an exclusive business event management company (PCO), with the vision of ensuring the satisfaction of its clients are guaranteed and the fulfillment of their corporate needs in Asia. One of the companys flagship event is the APEC Women Leadership Forum, which Kathy also served as a co-chair from 2013-2014, a business event complementary to the APECs business goals in strengthening the voice of businesswomen, fostering next generation of women leadership, and promoting entrepreneurship in China and the Asia Pacific region. In embracing the dynamic digital economy in China, in December 2014, Kathy and her business partner Mr. Chen Yukun (co-founder of Umeng Analytics) jointly established an e-commerce platform allowing for purchase of hot-meals and food products (consumer-to-consumer) as well as paying to eat together in homes via meal-sharing concept (peer-to-peer-to-consumer) called “EatTogetherâ€. Kathy holds a B.A. (Deans List) degree in Economics, and East Asian Languages and Cultures from Columbia University.
