Woman of Action
If the gentleman of the 17th century was a woman, no offense to Blaise Pascal, it would be Karine !
Difficult indeed to find a more versatile personality than Karine Baillet, as comfortable in a high powered reception, elegant in a suit and silk stockings, as in the equatorial swamp as she progresses, covered in mud, leading her team, without sleep or fear. In the first situation, she expresses herself in the most subtle and accurate of languages; in the second situation she acts in the manner of an exemplary leader applying her knowledge and determination.
The comparison with the swordsman-poet supposed to know everything without having learned a thing stops there because Karine, first of all is very much a woman of her times and her touch of humanism which she brings to all she engages in, is the key to her energy and her boundless curiosity.
Thus her sport of choice quickly became adventure racing, putting her athletic abilities and knowledge acquired at University to use to assuage her endless curiosity for the disciplines of outdoor sports, which has taken her to all five continents and some of the most remote regions of the planet. Never satisfied to give less than 100%, she won a Raid Gauloises, the Grail of the adventure racing, and then went on to become the Vice-world champion in adventure racing.
It is a seemingly impossible task to list all of the adventure races, trips, records and successes of Karine Baillet. This native of Touquet, France (born in 1975) never stops. She travels the world constantly, without ever forgetting her roots. On foot, on horseback, by bicycle, she travels relentlessly the bright long stretches of beach in her native North. She even returns to them from the coast of England , windsurfing, kayaking or wakeboarding.
Le Touquet is also where Karine Baillet deploys her innumerous activities. At the tender age of 25, she began organizing the Touquet Raid Pas de Calais which has become the reference for all adventure races. Ten years later, in 2010, she launched « Le Grand Raid » in the Nord Pas de Calais region of France. In this area deemed unlikely for an adventure race she brought together the best teams from around the world and demonstrated that the Nature is beautiful .
The same year she created an adventure racing school for children. They flock in.
Driven by her experience and teaching methods, Karine unleashes enthusiasm when she demonstrates for companies how to manage a team and motivate it, breeding success for that corporate team. Responding to requests from the media in the North of France, her teaching skills also lead her to explain in simple terms how to be beautiful, fit, and healthy in mind and body.
If you don’t believe it, just look at her !
