About Jos Boonstra
Jos Boonstra is senior researcher at FRIDE, a European Think Tank with its headquarters in Madrid and an office in Brussels. Based in Brussels, he is also head of the Europe-Central Asia Monitoring (EUCAM) research programme that seeks to offer greater insight into European interests in Central Asia. Before joining FRIDE, he was programme manager at the Centre for European Security Studies (CESS), Groningen, The Netherlands. Boonstra has an MA in International Relations and an MA in History from the University of Groningen. He has published extensively on Eurasian and transatlantic security issues (foremost EU, NATO and OSCE policies) as well as political developments in the Western Balkans, Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
