The World Economy of the Early 21st Century

ISBN: 00000
Standard business financial statements (income account and balance sheet) are presented as an accounting framework useful to discuss the macroeconomic performance of a country and its potential solvency problems. The framework is then used to narrate the macroeconomic evolution of the world economy during the early years of the 21st century, placing globalization and the 2008-09 global financial crisis on the central stage.
