Caroline Mazel is an architect DPLG (state diploma) and followed her studies at the Higher national school of architecture and landscape architecture of Bordeaux. She also has a post graduate certificate (DEA) in Socio Cultural History of the University of Versailles / St Quentin in Yvelines.
As founder and head of Médiarchi this young woman, who presents herself as an ‘architect interpreter’, strives with passion since 2004 to make people enjoy contemporary architecture.
At Mediarchi, she provides a broad range of target groups, from general public to trained specialists, organizes seminars, trainings, lectures and trips and visits. Among others, she provides multiple day sessions about the awareness of the architectural and urban culture, through general topics such as green architecture, sustainable development, cultural heritage, housing, and more focused topics such as commercial architecture as sports, places of culture or religion, or through portraits of architects such as Jean Nouvel, Renzo Piano, Le Corbusier, FL Wright or Shigeru Ban.
Caroline Mazel is an associate professor at the Higher national school of architecture and landscape architecture of Bordeaux at the department of ‘Designing and Living Architecture’. She is responsible and develops projects, seminars, research, site visits of the Bordeaux suburbs and study tours in Europe.
