Anouk Vos is partner and Cyber Security / Innovation lead at Revnext, a high tech consultancy firm. She has many years of experience as a strategic cyber security advisor for (inter)national governments, multinationals and NGO’s. She worked at the Netherlands’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Cyber Security Center and publishes in national newspapers and scientific magazines.
It never ceases to amaze Anouk how often those in the boardroom have no idea of what is happening “under the hood” of their organisation, both in terms of vulnerabilities in technologies used and technological opportunities for the future. Positioning cyber security in the initial fases of planning, rather than as an afterthought, she endeavours to make organisations function at the absolute forefront of innovation.
Anouk Vos studied both International Relations and International Development Studies, during which she specialized in new security threats. In addition to her work at Revnext, she was founder and until 2016 president of the international Women in Cyber Security Network. She is also co-founder and (honorary) chairperson of the non-profit Cyberworkplace, a workplace where young people, including gamers, amateur hackers and high school dropouts, follow a hands-on cyber curriculum and gain work experience in government and business.
In 2016, 2017 and 2019 she was chosen as one of the Inspiring Fifty, the fifty most inspiring women in the technology sector. In 2018 and 2019 she was named one of the 25 most influential women in cyber security in Europe. In 2020 US State Department appointed Anouk Vos, alongside alumni such as Tony Blair and Jacinda Ardern, as one of the Faces of Exchange, an international initiative showcasing 80 accomplished alumni of its International Leadership Program, their lives and the impact of their exchanges on the global community.
