After working as a professional dancer and obtaining a PhD in Art History, Angelika Taschen joined the publishing house of her later husband Benedikt Taschen. From 1990 to 2010 she was the editor in chief and together with her husband she turned Taschen into a world famous publishing house and a highly successful brand by publishing inexpensive art books for a large audience.
In 2011, she founded the independent boutique publishing house “Angelika Books” in Berlin, focussing on a few titles per year with topics such as art, architecture, photography, design, fashion and lifestyle.
