Born in Spain, Andrés MartIn Asuero holds a MSc.in Biology, an MBA and a PhD in Psychology. He completed his education in France (INSEAD) and USA (MIT and UMass). After completing his studies he started his career in business working for international companies, initially as head of R&D and Marketing, and later General Manager and CEO. During his term he undertook international operations that involved fast expansion and high technology, receiving two awards from the Chamber of Commerce.
Making a crossover to Personal Development, Andrés went back to College becoming a certified teacher on Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction from the Medical Center of the University of Massachusetts (UMass).
Andrés became the Founder of esMindfulness,a network dedicated to Mindfulness training. Furthermore, he is a member of the Society for Organizational Learning (MIT), is a trainer at the Center for Mindfulness (UMass) and Careholder at HUB Madrid, a center for social innovation. Alongside the latter, he also gives lectures and trains professional teams on personal development areas such as Stress Reduction, Leadership and Personal Mastery. He was also in the coach team of the Spanish challenger for the America’s Cup 2007.
Awarded the research prize REIDE 2005 for his works on stress reduction, he also wrote two books, Con Rumbo Propio (2008), and SabidurIa estratégica (2011) both edited by Plataforma, as well as several articles in scientific magazines regarding the theme: stress.
Combining his knowledge on biology ,the psychological state of the mind and his experience in the business field, Andrés allows himself to connect easily with professionals. This allow him to help them through both theoretical and directly applicable practical knowledge. Leaving one of his conferences or lectures, one will be more aware of their own emotional state of mind and learn more about themselves and what drives them.
