Anne-Marie Le Gloannec is specialized in Germany, Franco-German relations and communications, the foreign policy of Europe and Turkey and the European Union. She is a senior research fellow at Sciences PO and is part of the CERI Transversal Project 'Transatlantic Relations and Comparisons', a project that on the one hand, analyzes the internal dynamics to political societies on both sides of the Atlantic and, secondly, the relationship between European countries and North America. It is both a comparative project of different political societies and an analysis of international relations. She is the author of three books and was a regular contributor to the newspapers 'L'Express' and 'Le Figaro'. She holds a Ph.D. from the the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (IEP). She has been an SSRC-MacArthur Foundation Fellow and a fellow at the Woodrow Wilson Center.
At Sciences PO she teaches 'Europe in the World' and 'European security'. At the University of Cologne she teaches 'Governance and policy-making in the multilevel system of the EU' and 'The EU in the international system'. During her career she held many teaching positions, at the Johns Hopkins University (Bologna Center), the University of Paris I, the IEP of Lille, the Free University of Berlin, the Viadrina University (Frankfurt-an-der-Oder) and was a visiting professor at the University of Stuttgart and the University of Cologne.
