The focus is not on mere adventure-seeking or the pursuit of records, but rather on the curiosity to explore the mysteries of our Earth and the search for answers to the fundamental questions of life. He is considered an outstanding expert on the Himalayan region and China, always attuned to the currents beneath the surface of mainstream and stereotypes of different cultures.
His extreme expeditions include:
– On foot through the Takla Makan in China, the largest sand desert in the world
– Across North and East Tibet
– Expedition to the Tibesti Mountains in northern Chad
– First person to traverse the Gobi Desert solo
– First descent of the Sutley Canyon in Tibet with whitewater rafts and discovery of the lost culture of the Kingdom of Shang Shung
