About Arjan Dwarshuis
Arjan Dwarshuis (1987) has been fascinated by birds all his life. He called his first stuffed animal ‘pica pica’ which is Latin for Magpie and was drawing birds ever since kindergarten, when other children where drawing cars and castles. Dwarshuis has never gotten rid of his fascination for birds and while playing he got to know many different species.
In the mean time his his hobby turned into a virus which he calls the ‘birdwatchingvirus’. Arjan has spent large parts of his life watching through a pair of binoculars and can tell incredible stories about it.
Arjan Dwarshuis has never stopped determining all kinds of birds and now, more than 20 years later he has spotted over 7000 of the 10672 different kinds of birds in the whole world.
