A lawyer by training, Stéphane Desselas holds a law degree from Panthéon-Assas University (DEA in Community Law) and from the Institute of Public Business Law (IDPA) of the Paris Bar. He is also a graduate of ESCP (1993).
Stéphane Desselas has worked in Paris and Brussels within large companies (La Poste, EDF) and a professional federation (the Community of European Railways – CER). He was Deputy Secretary General of the ISUPE association (Initiative for Public Utility Services in Europe) chaired by Christian Stoffaës. He then joined the British public affairs firm Stewart as a partner.
He is the President of the European Networks Circle, which brings together major French network companies, and of the group of new lobbyists consisting of French lobbyists in Brussels.
Stéphane Desselas is a lecturer at Sciences Po Paris in lobbying. He also teaches at ENA and the School of Mines in Paris.
He is the author of the book “Professional Lobbying Unveiled” (Editions du Palio, 2007) and co-author with Natacha Clarac of the book “The Golden Rules of Lobbying” (Editions du Palio, 2012).
