Denis Jacquet graduated from HEC in 1989. He also obtained a Master’s degree in Business Law.
His only notable achievement as an employee was at “Baker & Mac Kenzie”, which was led at the time by Christine Lagarde.
He founded his first company, “H2I”, in 1993, in commercial real estate, during a major crisis. A true entrepreneur at heart, he acquired the number one distance learning company in 1997, saving it from extinction, then sold it and decided to ride the wave of e-Learning with “Edufactory”, which instilled in him a strong belief. The development of a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME), growth, and cost management all go hand in hand with international expansion. “Edufactory” is now one of the few French training SMEs with a presence in 8 countries.
A new adventure began with the search engine “YATEDO”, revolutionary in its approach, innovative in technology, and boasting 4.5 million unique visitors per month after just a few months.
Building on this belief, he developed, with close collaborators, an association called “Parrainer la Croissance” over 3 years ago, to guide French SMEs in this direction and establish an original and pragmatic framework to ensure their success by leveraging often neglected strengths: seniors and youth. They aim to do this with SMEs that are models of meaningful growth and driven by strong societal values. Their trademark is media actions that can be generalized, including the Entrepreneurs’ March. Integrating seniors into the success of young entrepreneurs is a core belief at PLC. They want to demonstrate how to create growth models that combine individual and collective wealth. They show that SMEs can be a societal glue if everything is done to allow them to become a source of economic growth that supports the entire society.
Denis Jacquet was also one of the 9 leaders chosen by President François Hollande to propose measures for entrepreneurship (Entrepreneurship Assizes). They presented these measures at the Elysée, and they will be implemented soon, including the return to normal for capital gains taxation.
He has also participated several times in debates on various topics: in Les Echos on self-employment and SMEs, in La Tribune, on France 24, for Euronews, and BFM Business.
