An experienced conference organizer and speaker, Henk has organized and facilitated many KPMG International Partners Conferences and other annual business events. Professional Experience
Prior to joining Trompenaars Hampden-Turner as Partner, Henk was Managing Partner of KPMG Consulting in Portugal, which he started-up and developed into a group of professional consultants with international assignments in or with various companies from the United States, Hong Kong, Macao, UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal and Ukraine.
In the early nineties, he facilitated the Post Merger Integration of KPMG Consulting in Europe as European Executive Partner. The creation of international networking was aimed at the development of cross border co-operation between a large number of consulting practices in 25 countries. In this period some 35 international industry and expert groups were set up. He also had intensive working relations with the Americas and South Pacific. Further, at KPMG Consulting in the Netherlands, he was Executive Manager in Interim Management (1985-88) and was Senior Consultant in Health Care Consulting (1983-85).
From 1974 to 1980 he held various management functions in the hotel and leisure industry in Belgium, the Netherlands and former Yugoslavia. In the early eighties he also worked for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Finance.
Background
Henk has degrees from the Interfaculteit Bedrijfskunde in Delft and the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam and the Hogere Hotelschool, in Maastricht/Den Haag. Completely at home in English and Dutch, he is also fluent in French and Portuguese and speaks reasonable German and Italian.
