He broke through with a 13-month hitchhiking journey from the Netherlands to Hong Kong, crossing more than 20 countries. Along the way, he encountered Nubans in the Sudanese desert, folk religions in India, and many more worlds that are rarely captured on film.
What started as an adventure grew into a conscious mission: to create impactful stories and seek connection in a divided world. He hitchhiked across America without money to capture the election struggle up close. He also dives into the extreme subcultures of the Netherlands: from drug-addicted urban nomads to the Muslims living in the Bible Belt.
